Lobster Foundation of Massachusetts
The Lobster Foundation of Massachusetts is a proud 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting a healthy, sustainable lobster fishery within the waters of Massachusetts. We invest in scientific research, educational outreach, and programs that promote responsible, safe fishing practices—helping preserve the marine environment and the rich biodiversity it sustains.
In partnership with the Massachusetts Lobstermen’s Association, we work hand-in-hand with lobstermen, marine scientists, and industry leaders to strengthen the future of our local lobster fishery. Our collaborative efforts extend to esteemed institutions such as the MIT and Woods Hole Sea Grant Programs, the Universities of Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island, the Massachusetts Department of Marine Fisheries, and many other committed members of our coastal community.
Together, we’re building a resilient future for our oceans, our fisheries, and the generations who depend on them.
